Brother Printer WiFi Setup – Complete Guide

Connecting your Brother printer to WiFi lets you print from any device on your network. There are three methods: the control panel setup wizard, WPS button, and the Brother installer.
Method 1: Wireless Setup Wizard (Control Panel)
- Press Menu on your Brother printer
- Use the arrow keys to navigate to Network and press OK
- Select WLAN then Setup Wizard
- The printer will search for available networks
- Select your WiFi network name (SSID)
- Enter your WiFi password using the keypad
- Press OK to confirm — the printer will connect
Method 2: WPS Push Button
If your router supports WPS:
- Press and hold the WPS button on your router for 2 seconds
- Within 2 minutes, press the WPS button on your Brother printer
- The printer will automatically connect to your WiFi
Method 3: Brother Setup Wizard (Windows/Mac)
- Download Brother's installation software from the support site
- Run the installer and select Wireless Network Connection
- Follow the on-screen instructions — the software will detect and configure your printer
Confirm the WiFi Connection
Print a Network Configuration Report:
- Press Menu > Print Reports > Network Config > OK
- Check that the SSID and IP address are correctly listed
Troubleshooting WiFi Issues
Printer not finding the network: Ensure you're connecting to a 2.4GHz network — most Brother printers don't support 5GHz.
Wrong password: Re-enter your password carefully — WiFi passwords are case-sensitive.
Weak signal: Move the printer closer to your router.
