Dell Wireless Printer Setup Guide

Setting up a Dell wireless printer requires connecting it to your WiFi network using the built-in setup wizard or WPS.
Step 1: Prepare Your Printer
- Ensure the printer is powered on
- Make sure it has paper and ink or toner installed
- Have your WiFi network name (SSID) and password ready
Step 2: Connect via WPS (Easiest Method)
- Press the WPS button on your router
- Within 2 minutes, press the Wireless button on your Dell printer
- Wait for the wireless light to become solid
Step 3: Connect via the Control Panel
- Press Menu on the printer
- Navigate to Network Setup or Wireless Setup
- Select Wireless Setup Wizard
- Choose your network and enter the password
Step 4: Install Dell Printer Software
- Visit Dell's official support site
- Enter your printer's service tag or model number
- Download and install the printer driver and software
- During installation, select Wireless Network Connection
- Follow the wizard to complete setup
Step 5: Test the Connection
Print a test page from Control Panel > Devices and Printers on Windows, or System Settings > Printers & Scanners on Mac.
Note on Dell Printer Support
Dell exited the printer business in 2016. Many Dell printers were manufactured by Lexmark. Lexmark's support site often has compatible drivers for legacy Dell models.
