Quick Checks First
- Disconnect all USB drives and external devices
- Check if the power light is on
- Listen for beep codes (indicates hardware POST failure)
- Try a forced restart: hold power button 10 seconds
Fix 1: HP Hard Reset
- Shut down the computer completely
- Disconnect the power cord
- Remove the battery (if laptop)
- Hold the power button for 15 seconds
- Reconnect power and battery
- Power on
Fix 2: Run Startup Repair
- Power on and press F11 repeatedly to enter Recovery Environment
