How to Find the IP Address of HP Printer – All Methods

Finding your HP printer's IP address can be done several ways depending on your printer model and how it's connected.
Method 1: HP Printer Control Panel Display
Most HP printers with LCD or touchscreens show the IP directly:
- Tap or navigate to the Wireless or Network icon
- The IP address (e.g., 192.168.0.14) displays in the connection details
Method 2: Print the Network Configuration Report
On any HP printer:
- Press Wireless button and hold 3 seconds, OR navigate to Setup > Reports > Wireless Network Test Report
- The printed page shows IP address, SSID, and connection status
Method 3: HP Smart App
- Open HP Smart on any device
- Your connected HP printer is shown with its network details including IP
Method 4: Windows Settings
- Open Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners
- Select your HP printer → Printer properties
- Go to Ports tab — the IP is in the port name
Method 5: Command Prompt Ping (if you know the hostname)
ping HPxxxxxx.localReplace HPxxxxxx with your printer's hostname (usually found on the network config report). The ping response shows the IP.
