HP DeskJet 4155 WiFi Setup – Connect to Wireless Network
Category: Setup · Brand: HP
The HP DeskJet 4155 is a compact wireless all-in-one. Setting it up on Wi-Fi takes about 5 minutes using either the printer's control panel or the HP Smart app.
Method 1: Wireless Setup Wizard (Control Panel)
- On the printer, press the Wireless button (signal icon) to open wireless settings
- Select Wireless Setup Wizard
- The printer scans for nearby networks — select yours from the list
- Enter your Wi-Fi password using the on-screen keyboard
- Press OK — the wireless light will blink, then stay solid blue when connected
Method 2: HP Smart App (Recommended)
The HP Smart app guides you through setup with fewer steps:
- Download HP Smart from the App Store or Google Play (or microsoft.com for Windows)
- Open HP Smart and tap Add Printer
- Follow the in-app instructions — it will put the printer in setup mode and connect it to your network automatically
- Once connected, your phone or computer is added as a print source
Method 3: WPS Push Button
If your router has a WPS button:
- On the printer, hold the Wireless button for 3 seconds until the light blinks
- Within 2 minutes, press the WPS button on your router
- The printer connects automatically — the light turns solid when done
Installing the Driver After WiFi Setup
- Download the full-feature driver for the HP DeskJet 4155 from HP's support site
- During installation, select Wireless as the connection type
- The installer detects the printer on the network automatically
Troubleshooting WiFi Connection Issues
Printer won't find my network: Make sure you're connecting to a 2.4 GHz network — the DeskJet 4155 does not support 5 GHz Wi-Fi.
Wrong password error: Re-enter the password carefully — Wi-Fi passwords are case-sensitive. If you recently changed your router password, you'll need to reconnect the printer.
Printer connects but can't print: Ensure the computer is on the same Wi-Fi network as the printer. Temporarily disable VPN software if active.
