HP Wireless Assistant – How to Use and Troubleshoot

HP Wireless Assistant is a software utility on HP laptops that manages the wireless network adapter, Bluetooth, and other wireless connections.

What is HP Wireless Assistant?

HP Wireless Assistant is an HP utility (not related to HP printers directly) that:

• Controls the wireless network adapter on HP laptops

How to Open HP Wireless Assistant

1. Click Start
2. Search for HP Wireless Assistant
3. Or find it in Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > HP Wireless Assistant

Common Tasks

Enable/Disable WiFi

Click the WiFi toggle in HP Wireless Assistant to enable or disable your laptop's wireless adapter.

Diagnose Connection Issues

HP Wireless Assistant shows the status of all wireless devices and can help identify if the adapter is disabled in hardware (usually via Fn+F12 key).

Can't Find HP Wireless Assistant?
