Xerox Printer Driver Download & Installation Guide

Xerox printers — including WorkCentre, Phaser, VersaLink, and AltaLink series — use dedicated drivers downloadable from Xerox's support portal.

Where to Download Xerox Drivers

Go to support.xerox.com and search by product name or model number. You can also use xerox.com/office/drivers.

Common Xerox Printer Families

  • Phaser — single-function laser and solid ink printers (e.g., Phaser 3260, Phaser 6510)
  • WorkCentre — multifunction print/copy/scan/fax (e.g., WorkCentre 3345, WorkCentre 6515)
  • VersaLink — modern MFP series (e.g., VersaLink B405, VersaLink C405)
  • AltaLink — enterprise MFP series

Installing the Driver on Windows

  1. Go to support.xerox.com and search your model
  2. Click Drivers & Downloads and select your Windows version
  3. Download the Print and Scan Driver or PCL6 Driver
  4. Run the installer as administrator
  5. Follow the setup wizard — choose USB, IP address, or auto-detect
  6. Print a test page to verify the installation

Xerox Global Print Driver (Recommended for Networks)

The Xerox Global Print Driver supports all Xerox PostScript and PCL devices from a single driver install — ideal for office environments with multiple Xerox devices:

  1. Search "Xerox Global Print Driver" at support.xerox.com
  2. Download and install
  3. Add each Xerox printer by IP address

Installing the Driver on Mac

  1. Download the Mac driver (.dmg) from support.xerox.com
  2. Open and run the installer package
  3. Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners > +
  4. Select your Xerox printer — if not shown, add by IP address

Enabling Scan Functionality

For WorkCentre and VersaLink scan-to-PC:

  1. Install the Xerox Scan Utility from the support site
  2. On the printer touchscreen, configure Scan to PC / SMB with your computer's IP address and shared folder path

Troubleshooting Driver Issues

Printer shows as offline after driver install: Check that the printer IP hasn't changed. Print a Configuration Report from the printer's Tools menu to verify the current IP.

Driver not available for Windows 11: Xerox releases Windows 11 drivers on a rolling basis — check support.xerox.com for your specific model's latest driver.
